| The current 2d Connecticut Volunteer
Heavy Artillery portrays the unit after it was pulled from the defense
of Washington D.C. in June 1864 to bolster the infantry of General
Grant'sArmy of the Potomac. Find out more about

The 2d Connecticut Volunteer Heavy Artillery history runs from 1862, when it first mustered as the 19th Connecticut Volunteer Infantry to the end of the war in 1865 Ways the 2d Connecticut Heavies have given back to the Community since 1997:
